more full ears

My ears are musically full tonight. My children and I went to a piano recital tonight. It was incredible. A young man by the name of Ning An was presenting a program of Chopin. His fingers were awesome! There are gauges to measure how fast a basebasll goes and I am sure there are for other objects put into motion but what about fingers? Mr. An's looked like they were close to the speed of a well thrown baseball.
I know Mr. An has skill but where did it come from. Let's give God the glory! God gives the surgeon skill and so He also gives the artist the form, color or music that he needs. Let the music that God creates in you flow through your life and watch how it will change things and people around you.Really uplifting-edifying music lifts us to a higher plane and we almost step into heaven. Thats where it was tonight................................................................

full ears

My family and I got full ears tonight. We went to a symphony concert that was free. It has been sooo long since we have been to one. When we lived in New Orleans-we used to go 2 X a month. The New Orleans symphony put on 2 a month for the schools; one on the east bank and one on the west bank. And it was only $1 a ticket. It was great.
Its probably been eons since I have gone. My kids loved it and me too!. There was an excerpt from an original opera-in English! and selections from Mozart, Beethoven and Rossini. We are going to a graduate student? recital Thursday night - an evening with Chopin and it is free too! Who said you can't get something worthwhile for nothing. We have to drive 120 miles round trip for it but-hey-its worth it for this great free music. I teach my kids at home so I like to take advantage of things like this. Music is so special if it uplifts. There is soo much nowadays to drag you down. I don't need it.
Well, Its getting close to beddy-bye time. Hate to go because I don't have my husband to snuggle to now. Passed away end of July. I feel like I have been treading water for 8 hours and no land in sight. Help me Lord!!!! Difinitely a BIG flash of light in the dark.
Ciao

pin points of light

I wanted something to do with light. There is toooo much darkness in this world. I want glitter and sparkle. What names those would be for daughters---- These are my daughters Glitter and Sparkle. Shine girls!
One of my favourite things to do is look up at the sky at night and just rest in the lights shining forth from the darkness. And the next favourite thing to do is get the kids, haul out the pillows and blankets and lay on the ground and watch a meteor shower. Its like out on the lake fishing. It only takes one bite to fuel the patience to sit out there for another hour. So goes with watching a meteor shower. It only takes one to stay out there forever; not wanting to turn your head for fear that you will miss one. And then you do take your eyes away and then you hear one of them say,"There goes one" And you quickly turn your gaze back, frantically saying," Where, where?" But it is too late. It is gone . And so the watch is on for another hour. The cups of cocoa come out frothy with melting marshmallows accompanied with cookies fresh made that afternoon.
Are the stiff necks and backs worth it, you ask? Oh yes, I reply back. Family unity, enjoying God's light show, steamy cups of cocoa and the look of wonder on the childrens eyes as they see another stream of light go by. Ahhhhh yes, some of life's simple pleasures!!!!!!!!!!!
Goodnight all
Butterfly woman is signing out and signing into sleep.I have a cleaning job early in the morning- sighhhhhhhhhhh
